Brownsburg, Indiana – [March 17, 2024]Christopher Gronde, a distinguished and award winning Certified Professional Photographer from Brownsburg, Indiana, has been selected as a member of Team USA for the highly anticipated 2024
World Photographic Cup (WPC). With the United States among the 33 countries participating, Gronde stands out as a contributor among the 28 exceptional photographers representing Team USA.
In this year's World Photographic Cup, Team USA, with Christopher Gronde as a key member, presented a noteworthy collection of 30 images spanning 10 different photographic categories. The 30 Team USA images were chosen from the over 7,000 images submitted to the
Professional Photographers of America (PPA) monthly Merit Image Reviews and International Photographic Competition. This diverse portfolio reflects the team's commitment to excellence across a broad spectrum of artistic styles and visual storytelling.
The Preliminary Round for the WPC was held by World Wide Livestream from the WPC headquarters during the Professional Photographers of America International Convention, Imaging USA. During that livestream, the "Best of Nation" images were awarded to the highest scoring image from each country. Then, the Top 10 Finalists from each category were announced. Those images would continue on to the WPC Finals being held this year in the US, April 27-29th in Texas. Chris Gronde, will continue on to the Finals in the "Wedding Documentary" category scoring points for Team USA and possibly winning an individual medal for his category.
The World Photographic Cup, known for fostering collaboration and friendly competition on an international scale, features photographers from around the globe vying for top honors in various categories. With Team USA entering the fray with 30 carefully curated images, the competition promises to be a showcase of the country's rich photographic talent.
